The recognition was formally presented this week at IEDC – Bled School of Management, where the selected companies met for the first Future 100 Slovenia Growth Lab.
Future 100 Slovenia is not a traditional business award or ranking. It is the first national implementation of the Future 500 Index, a research-based methodology developed to identify companies that combine demonstrated growth with the broader capabilities required for further international expansion.

From more than 203,000 companies to 100
The selection process started with more than 203,000 registered Slovenian companies. Following the initial screening, 603 companies met the high-growth criterion and were assessed across seven weighted dimensions and 19 indicators.
The methodology looks beyond revenue growth alone. It considers factors including productivity, financial strength, export and international presence, R&D investment, patents, governance, leadership stability and other indicators related to a company’s ability to sustain growth and expand internationally.
From this assessment, 100 companies were selected for Future 100 Slovenia 2026.
Importantly, companies did not apply for the programme and could not nominate themselves. The selection was based primarily on data from official sources, making Future 100 an independent assessment of Slovenia’s emerging growth companies.

Recognition of Direct4.me’s international growth
For Direct4.me, inclusion in Future 100 Slovenia comes at an important stage in the company’s development.
What started as the development of parcel locker technology in Slovenia has grown into an international business providing parcel locker hardware, software and technology to postal operators, carriers and logistics companies across Europe and beyond.
The recognition therefore represents more than recent growth. It reflects the capacity to continue building the company internationally.
“Being selected among the Future 100 is valuable to us particularly because of the methodology behind it. There was no application or presentation to a jury. The selection was based on data and looked not only at how quickly companies have grown, but also at whether they have the foundations to continue scaling. For us, that is a meaningful external confirmation that we are moving in the right direction.”
— Tadej Visinski, CEO and co-founder of Direct4.me

Recognition is the starting point
Future 100 Slovenia is designed to go beyond identifying successful companies.
At the first Future 100 Slovenia Growth Lab in Bled, participating companies met with representatives of government, financial institutions, investors and other partners to discuss some of the practical barriers companies face as they scale.
The discussions focused on areas including access to capital, talent, R&D and technology, internationalisation, regulation and European instruments.
The objective is to move from identifying companies with potential to creating an environment in which more of them can develop into internationally competitive businesses.
For Direct4.me, that is perhaps the most interesting part of the initiative.
Identifying the next generation of growth companies is only the first step. Helping them scale is the more difficult — and more important — one.
We congratulate all the other companies selected for Future 100 Slovenia 2026 and look forward to the next stage of the initiative.
