Direct4.me recently closed a growth equity round with ARX Equity Partners. A company with 30+ people (employees and outsourced) is growing fast (revenue grew from 3M EUR in 2024 to over 10M EUR in 2025). The basics of our financial function are in place, but we need someone to turn them into a proper system: structured reporting, rolling forecasts and cost control. This is a hands-on role with no finance team under you and you report directly to the CEO.
Position Overview - what you'll be doing:
Accounting oversight
- Managing our external accounting partner (on Business Central / Navision), driving timely monthly closes including inventory reconciliation
- VAT compliance across multiple European jurisdictions
- Coordinating the first statutory audit (required for 2026)
- Overseeing the subsidiary in Belgrade (no consolidation yet, but financials need monitoring)
Financial management
- Building a rolling cash flow forecast (6-7 month hardware production cycle, ad-hoc Excel today)
- Managing banking relationships, revolving credit facilities, and bank guarantees
- Liquidity monitoring and payment operations
Controlling
- Monthly management reporting for CEO and ownership: P&L, balance sheet, KPIs
- Revenue segmentation (HW sales, SaaS/MRR, deployment & maintenance)
- Profitability by product line and client
- Budget process, variance tracking, cost structure analysis
- Identifying inefficiencies, proposing process changes to improve margins
What we expect from you
- 5+ years in finance, ideally in manufacturing/production/technology companies or advisory firms (Big4, consulting)
- Experience building financial processes and reporting from scratch
- Strong cash flow management, management reporting, bank guarantee administration
- ERP knowledge (Business Central / Navision is a plus)
- Multi-country operations (VAT, intercompany), fluent Slovenian and English
