The role
We are looking for a BD / Sales Lead for Core Europe to drive growth across CEE, SEE, Italy, and selected adjacent new markets.
In this role, you will take ownership of the full enterprise sales lifecycle - from strategic account planning and C-level engagement to complex negotiations and long sales cycles - while building long-term, trusted relationships with key customers and partners. You will play a critical role in shaping how Direct4.me structures, executes, and scales its commercial organization across the region and even broader markets.
This is not a purely transactional sales role. It is a business development-first role with sales responsibility. We need someone who can open doors, build relationships, identify and shape opportunities, and position Direct4.me with the right customers and partners – while also being able to carry opportunities forward into actual commercial execution.
Because we are still building our commercial structure, this role requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial, and highly proactive person who is comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead business development activities across the assigned region
- Identify and develop opportunities with postal operators, carriers, logistics players, retailers, and other relevant partners
- Open new accounts and build long-term strategic customer relationships
- Manage the commercial process from first contact through opportunity development, proposal shaping, negotiation support, and deal closing
- Support and coordinate tender-related activities together with internal teams
- Help define go-to-market priorities across the region and contribute to commercial strategy
- Represent Direct4.me in meetings, events, trade fairs, and market visits
- Maintain and develop pipeline visibility, opportunity prioritization, and commercial reporting
- Act as a bridge between customer needs and internal teams including management, product, operations, and delivery
- Support selected new markets where initial activities are already underway
What we are looking for
We are looking for a commercially strong and credible profile who combines business development capability, sales drive, and regional market understanding.
Preferred background
- Several years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic account development
- Experience in sectors such as logistics, parcel delivery, postal, last-mile, retail networks, technology, infrastructure, or other relevant B2B solution environments
- Experience managing complex and longer-cycle sales processes
- Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Experience with tenders, structured sales processes, or multi-stakeholder deals is a strong plus
- Experience in opening new markets or building business in adjacent markets is a plus

Region and travel
This role covers Core Europe, including CEE, SEE, Italy, and selected new markets. Regular travel across the region is expected.
Language and location
- Fluent English is required
- Knowledge of Slovenian and/or Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian is a strong advantage
- Additional regional languages are a plus
- We are open to candidates based primarily in Slovenia or Croatia, with strong relevance to the covered region
